Tommy Bohanon Youth Football Camp June 23

June 13, 2018
FL Guide

Former North Fort Myers High School standout and current Jacksonville Jaguar Tommy Bohanon will host his second annual Tommy Bohanon Youth Football Camp in partnership with the Tommy Bohanon Foundation on Saturday, June 23, at North Fort Myers High School, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Tommy Bohanon Youth Football Camp is free to all participants. Athletes in Lee County in 1st-8th grade are invited to participate in a day of training "Like A Pro" with Bohanon as well as various certified football coaches.

Participants will be directed in numerous football drills and hear about Bohanon's journey to the NFL and what it takes to achieve their goals. A healthy lunch will be provided and after camp, Bohanon will take pictures and sign autographs for all attendees.

Since being drafted by the New York Jets in 2013, Bohanon has been giving back to his hometown community in several different ways. Bohanon is able to partner with various community partners in order to present this event for free to everyone in attendance.

"I want to share my love, knowledge, and appreciation of football to kids in my hometown," Bohanon said. "I wish there were opportunities like this when I was a kid. Football has given me the opportunity to give back and that's exactly what I want to continue to do."

No football experience is required and all children who are interested in participating are invited. If parents/guardians are interested in signing their young athlete up, they can do so through the Tommy Bohanon Foundation website or on the camp's Facebook Page.
